Experience in introduction of “Uniscan-LuCH KТ-7” SAU pipe end-areas testing in “Khartsyzk tube-rolling plant” OJSC, Khartsyzk.

Effective work carried out by “Ukrainian research institute for non-destructive testing” CJSC for the past 2006-2007 in the sphere of automated “turnkey” NDT systems development allows to draw a line once again and evaluate our specialists’ work results.

SAUZK “Uniscan-LuCH KТ-7” automated system of ultrasonic pipe end-areas testing.

The article presents the system of automated ultrasonic testing (SAUZK) on the basis of “Uniscan-LuCH” SAUZK “Uniscan-LuCH KТ-7” multi-channel ultrasonic flaw detector. It is intended for ultrasonic pipe end-areas testing (pipes with diameter from 406 to 1422 m, wall thickness from 6,3 to 40,7 mm and length of up to 12,5 m) for detection of planar defects, such as delaminations and longitudinal cracks.

In recent years there is a tendency of onrush development and increase of competitiveness of enterprises-representatives of Ukrainian pipe industry. It is quite easy to explain as manufacturers improve the quality and volume of produced products what gives them an opportunity to remain monopolists in Ukrainian market and work up new foreign markets of manufactured products outlet.
